It is a curious thing how swiftly certainty can spread when dressed in drama. One need only pair a locked door with a confident narrator, and suddenly implication becomes indictment in the court of public opinion. Fraud, should it exist, deserves daylight. That is not in question.

But spectacle is not the same as evidence, and volume is not the same as proof.

Childcare, already burdened with regulation and razor thin margins, cannot withstand governance by viral momentum. Nor should any community find itself tried by algorithm before due process has even begun. In moments such as this, restraint is not weakness. It is wisdom.

One does wonder who benefits most when accusation travels faster than fact.

How very telling.
